2025 Spring Seminar Series - WILL RETURN IN SPR 2026

Checkout the highlights from our Math Seminar featuring GRIND Basketball with speakers Silver Enyinnia, Aaron Karas, CFP® , and Kristeen Reynolds, CPA! Students combined basketball and financial math to create their own businesses, earning revenue through the GRIND shooting challenge . 

After balancing their budgets, they pitched their ideas in a Mock Shark Tank to a panel of STEAM professionals in math and business. We finished the seminar by hearing words of wisdom from our panelist about the resiliency and the perseverance which fuels them in their journey!

Check out the highlights from our Arts Spring Seminar with speakers Crystal Lister M.Ed, Craig Rhodes Jr and Dr. Lennie Waite, Ph.D., CMPC, OLY! The STEMagicians got our day started by performing STEM Magic turning everyone into firebenders by passing the torch! Then the creativity of our students came alive as they put their design skills to the test designing their official Spring Seminar Series 2025 t-shirts! 

Lastly, we were able to listen to speakers talk about confidence, shattering ceilings of expectations and to reach for the stars!

Checkout highlights from our Engineering Seminar featuring speakers Sarah Agara, M.Eng, P.E., PMP, Jada Grant, Paul Ivory, and Dr. Cortlan Wickliff! Students worked on engineering design process in designing and coding wrist devices to track the number of shots they have taken, using MicroBit and a 3D printer. 

Afterwards students heard some words of wisdom from our speakers about surrounding theirselves with positive friends and rebounding after a loss.

Our students were able to see how AI can help train athletes by creating their own training model to assess their movement patterns in various sports. After, our superb panelists talked about their STEAM and athletic journeys including how to bet on yourself, and the tools they used to overcome those doubting their dreams/aspirations! 

Check out the highlights from our Science Spring Seminar with speakers Starla Garcia, M.Ed, RDN, LD, Belle MacFarlane, Meredith Parmley, MS, RD, CSSD and Sean White.Students got hands-on creating their own homemade (pre, intra, and post-workout) sports drinks where chemistry, sports nutrition and hydration all came into play. Whether its prepping for training, enduring a long training session, or recovering after a full day, students learned about the different health benefits that different natural plants and minerals provides allowing them to tailor their drinks to fit their performance needs. Students competed to see who could make their drinks be the most nutritious and tastiest!
